Identify the job
Include the customer, date, project description and a quote number. A clear description helps both parties agree on the work being priced.
Build a straightforward customer quote from labor and materials. See the total as you type, then print it or save it as a PDF, free.
Enter your business details and the job's pricing. All fields stay in this browser tab. Nothing is uploaded to our servers.
Your browser creates the printout. This page does not save estimates or follow-ups, and there is no cloud sync. Closing or reloading the tab may clear your work. Verify figures before sending.

Use separate lines for labor, replacement parts, materials and other agreed services. Enter quantities and customer-facing unit prices, not private material costs.
Make sure unit prices cover your costs and business overhead. Apply a tax rate only if appropriate to the transaction and your local rules.
Add exclusions, quote validity, scheduling conditions and any other relevant terms. Print or save the result as a PDF before sending it yourself.
A useful estimate identifies the contractor and customer, describes the work, lists labor and materials, shows quantities, prices and a total, and clarifies exclusions or conditions. This template provides those basics; it is not a substitute for local legal, licensing or tax requirements.
Markup is calculated from your cost, while gross margin is calculated from the selling price. For example, $100 in costs plus 25% markup produces a $125 selling price and a 20% gross margin before any unentered expenses. Use the free contractor markup calculator to explore pricing before you enter the price the customer will see.
This free template does not have saved records, customer management or follow-up tracking. If you routinely prepare multiple quotes, Quote Desk's paid offline application adds those capabilities with manual backups.
Quote Desk lets you manage saved quotes, statuses, printable customer estimates and follow-up dates without a monthly subscription. Your records remain local to your compatible desktop browser, and manual backups are important.
